For over 30 years our family run business at Babygear has been finding the perfect baby pushchairs, buggies and prams for many mothers and children. Project:Simply have tailored this site to only include the brands and buggies that Babygear would recommend to its customers, acquired through years of knowledge. Whilst they remain competitive on price, it is Babygear’s traditional shop values and personal service that keeps its customers coming back.
We aided in site e-commerce design and a Magento framework was developed and customised. After an initial SEO evaluation it was noticed that the market was highly price sensitive and dependent on large suppliers, as the shop grew in the rankings it soon became apparent that many customers were leaving without purchasing an item.
The site reached high positions in Google for highly competitive terms and was at its peak bringing in 500-750 targeted hits per day after only 6 months.
Affiliate feeds were created in order to convert attracted customers, these values were set at 8% and thus generated a sensible conversion rate.
Other long tail strategies were put in place to ensure customers got a value add service from Baby Gear. Social networking and link building were strong elements in the PushchairsOnline brand creation. An awareness campaign was undertaken in order to target the popular forums and parents related to social networks.
We are now currently creating a full scale affiliate shop out fo the E-commerce portal whcih will be launched soon.
